Plava Laguna 'The Blue Lagoon', 5900 N. Kings Highway, 703 317 9133, is a Bosnian delicatessen at the shopping center across from the upper south exit of Huntingdon, the last station of the Yellow Line. Recommended specialties are Sum Vrat, a dried ham that's a Bosnian specialty, cokoladne banane - chocolate bananas, 4 for $1. Ratluk is Bosnian Turkish delight.

In the same shopping center, a few doors down from Plava Laguna at 5838-B N. Kings Highway, Alexandria, 703 329 9133, is a Bosnian full service restaurant called Cosmopolitan Cafe, making flaky pastry burek with fillings similar to those in Russian pirozhki), cevapcici, a heavy and rich but very tasty beef sausage "sandwich" in flaky dough. House cake is chocolate mousse flavored with a touch of orange, sandwiched between layers of ground walnut cake, and they have excellent bread. Owner Mika plans to carry cevapi, the Bosnian version of a kebab, on weekends. He also sells jams, pate, sausages, cheese, pretzels, spices, fruit juices, mineral water, candy, chocolates and more.
