Broa de Milho
Broa de Milho is a corn bread much loved by the northern Portuguese. The harshness of the soil makes wheat growing hard, so bakers make a loaf that is four parts corn to one part stone milled buckwheat. A member of the Portuguese Embassy in Washington says you can find at Marvelous Market. But it's so popular that it goes fast, so it's a good idea to order ahead.
