Habesha Ethiopian Market

Habesha Ethiopian Market is one of those groceries where you can eat once you've shopped. In the heart of Little Ethiopia, it's bang opposite Etete, the popular Ethiopian restaurant. But you can eat here, in their cafe section. So stop after you've stocked up and have a sambusa, the beef wot, or folds of injera stacked with tomatoes, onions and jalapeno or any of their other Ethiopiean specialties. They come out of the miniscule kitchen behind the counter all day long from breakfast time through to dinner. They're all extremely cheap and generous in portion size.

Habesha's selection of spices is wide - you'll find berberé here, along with stacks of injera bread. It's a good place to buy Ethiopian coffee beans, as well as various teas in leaf.

The friendly staff will give you good cooking advice. But Habesha will also cater an Ethiopian feast if you want to be part of your own party.
